Dunedin -> Christchurch -> Auckland -> LAX -> SEA
The Never Ending Day!
We awoke at ~8am on Sunday 1/5 in Dunedin, and after four plane flights (see below) we arrived
at 3:30pm on Sunday 1/5 in Seattle! Since we arrived at Dunedin airport at 10am, that is 5.5 hours
plus the 21 hour time difference, or 26.5 hours of traveling! And our Sunday 1/5/2003 lasted 24+21 = 45 hours!
As Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, There's No Place Like Home! We returned to a late afternoon in Seattle with clear
clear skies and enjoyed a glorious Technicolor sunset. Grandma and Grandma Slivka provided a wonderful repast of
salad, scalloped potatoes, and meatloaf, we enjoyed a 1996 Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon, and then finished it off
with a scrumptious chocolate cake from G&G Slivka!
