We had 47 people over for our 7th annual end-of-summer party to welcome
the entering Class of 2012 from Washington State to Northwestern University:
15 freshmen, 1 sophomore, 3 juniors, 1 senior, 21 parents, and 7 alumni (1965, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1995, and 2008).
Four of the alumni were parents of incoming freshmen, and we had 1 Alumni Admission Council member and 1 Trustee.
It was hot, hot, hot -- 87 degrees (the forecasted high was 94!),
so most everyone stayed out of the sun and drank lots of water and iced tea.
We enjoyed Whole Foods baguette sandwiches, potato chips, watermelon, and Häagen-Dazs
dark chocolate covered ice cream bars!
